Sector 02All sectors

Automotive and mobility.

Vehicles are becoming interfaces, and the software has to be worthy of the hardware. The question every program asks: who builds the interface layer the vehicle is becoming?

MINI and Lincoln.

Formist designs the interface layer vehicles are becoming: cluster, HUD, and center stack as one calm system. The founders carried production HMI for MINI and Lincoln; the studio builds with the same discipline.

01 Brand and commerce The brand inside the cabin. Positioning and narrative carried into the drive itself.
02 Products and platforms HMI as product. Cluster, HUD, and center stack designed and delivered production-ready.
03 Ventures and new business Mobility beyond the car. Ecosystems, services, and the ventures they become.

We carry the interface from the first sketch to the supplier’s build, and we stay until it renders on the target hardware.

01 Cluster and cockpit Instrument cluster, head-up display, and center stack designed as one system rather than three screens which happen to share a car.
02 HMI design system Components, states, tell-tales, and motion specified so a tier-one supplier can build it without calling you every week.
03 Owner journey Configurator, companion app, and service touchpoints held to a single voice from the first click to the first fault.
04 Glance and legibility validation Readability at speed, glance time, and night legibility tested against the design freeze, not after it.

How it opens. Most programs start with a cluster teardown. Two weeks, and you have a map of what the driver sees, in what order, and what each look costs them.

Also built for.Infineon, BMW, Audi, and SAIC / Maxus.
